Irene Miller 163 King Street, 2nd Floor
Stratford, Ontario
519 271-6500
My fine art can be seen at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Toronto, Miller Thompson offices, The City of Stratford, Trillium Insurance and many private collections as well as book covers and CDs.
“Influenced by my childhood love of fantasy, myths and fairy tales, my hope is to bring painterly vision to my landscapes, humour and warmth to my portraits, and edginess to my abstracts. I am intrigued by the juxtaposition of the old and new, lost and found, loved and unloved, inside and out, light and shadow. For many years, I have also drawn inspiration from my love of poetry. I often try to translate a much-loved poem into a visual image. Photography, poetry and my life are now one and the same to me.”
Born in Europe, raised in Winnipeg, worked in Toronto, Irene Miller now practices her photographic passion in the Stratford area. Her mantra is “The Articulate Eye” which she translates into expressive, meaningful, and distinct portraits and fine art. Irene is represented by Gallery on the Grand in Waterloo, P. I. Fine Art in Toronto and Candice Olson through Paragon around the world.
About three years ago, Irene opened an elegant Paris-themed portrait studio in a Victorian warehouse where clients can choose among the many theatrical costumes and vintage clothing in her studio closet for their fantasy and character portraits.
Irene is a board member of Perth Arts Connect, Gallery 96, Friends of the Library and Off The Wall Artists Alliance.
